Poster Boys

I'm not sure what is worse. Fight organizations that protect their golden boy fighters, or the golden boys that accept the cream-puff fight.

UFC's UK poster boy, Michael "the Count" Bisping recently dropped down to 185lbs after dropping a decision at UFC 78 to Rashad Evans, is taking on Charles "Captain Miserable" McCarthy. He's the poor schlub you see on the highlight reels, taking a spinning back kick from David Loiseau and doubling over in agony. Once Bisping disposes of this tin can, they will declare that he's "back on the road to a title shot!!"

Wrong. He will have just defeated a "never-was" fighter. McCarthy isn't even a "has been" because he....you get the idea.

Did I mention the UFC once fed Mike Bisping a guy by the name of Elvis "the King of Rock n' Rumble" Sinosic? Cool nickname....god-awful record. Evlis was 8 wins, 10 losses at that point. Elvis has since gone on and gotten knocked out in 21 seconds by the man himself, Paul Cahoon.

Exactly, Paul who?
