Wow, it's been a while. Lots has changed in the UFC since I last logged on. It would take forever to go over everything, so I'll just touch on the latest happenings, UFC 79.
Overall, a good card. The Sanchez/Palelei bout nearly put me to sleep; thankfully the referee stepped in and saved the fans from a TKO. Matt Hughes is in a tough spot now, much like Rich Franklin in the middleweight division. He's clearly the second best fighter in the division, but the champion is in another league. So does he plod on, taking out the mid-card fighters? Or challenge the champ and get "dummied" up again? I feel a bit bad for Franklin as he seems like a decent guy, even though he is one of UFC's "boys" but I don't feel bad for Hughes, who seems like a genuine jerk.
Idea: Why doesn't the UFC line up Mirko CroCop vs. Andrei Arlovski?
